Four ministers and two state ministers have joined the cabinet of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman six months after his BNP government came to power.
They took the oath of office following the swearing-in ceremony of President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban on Friday.
The new president administered the oath of office to the ministers and state ministers.
Abdul Moyeen Khan, BNP Standing Committee Member and Member of Parliament from Narsingdi-2; Rashiduzzaman Millat, former state minister for civil aviation and tourism; Sa Ching Prue Jerry, lawmaker from Bandarban constituency; Andaleeve Rahman Partha, Bangladesh Jatiya Party Chairman and lawmaker from Bhola-1; took the oath as ministers.
Gaibandha-4 MP Mohammad Shamim Kaisar Lincoln and the Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Humaiun Kobir took the oath as state ministers.
