Nvidia has announced a multiyear strategic partnership with Meta spanning on-premises, cloud, and AI infrastructure, involving millions of its latest chips and networking technology.

According to an official announcement by Nvidia, the agreement includes the large-scale deployment of Nvidia's current Blackwell GPUs and forthcoming Rubin AI chips, as well as standalone installations of its Grace and Vera central processors. Meta will also integrate Nvidia's Spectrum-X Ethernet networking platform into its Facebook Open Switching System platform. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in the official announcement.

"Through deep codesign across CPUs, GPUs, networking and software, we are bringing the full Nvidia platform to Meta's researchers and engineers as they build the foundation for the next AI frontier," said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia. Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta, stated the partnership aims to "deliver personal superintelligence to everyone in the world."

The collaboration represents the first large-scale deployment of Nvidia's Grace CPUs alone, with the companies reporting significant performance-per-watt improvements in Meta's data centre applications. They are also collaborating on deploying next-generation Vera CPUs, with potential for large-scale deployment in 2027, says Nvidia in an official blog post.

Meta has adopted Nvidia's Spectrum-X Ethernet networking platform across its infrastructure to provide AI-scale networking with low-latency performance. The company has also adopted Nvidia's confidential computing technology for WhatsApp, enabling AI-powered capabilities while protecting user privacy.
