Nawba Tahiya Hossain, one of the promising young faces of the entertainment industry, surprised fans on Wednesday after announcing her decision to step away from showbiz permanently.
The actress shared the news through a Facebook post, confirming that she will no longer be active in acting or media-related work.
Nawba Tahiya, who recently appeared in Anonno Proteek Chowdhuri’s “Noya Note”, has been active in the entertainment industry for the past four years.
Over this time, she built a strong presence through television dramas and digital projects, gradually cementing her place among audiences. While many fans praised her decision and wished her well, others expressed sadness at the thought of not seeing her on screen again.
In her announcement, the actress wrote, “After four beautiful years in the media, I’ve decided to stop. It’s been an incredible journey; one I’ll always be grateful for.”
She also reflected on her personal journey, sharing that she has found peace in her deen, within herself, through learning, and in the company of people who feel like home. As she continues to focus on her education and personal growth, Nawba Tahiya believes this phase of her life feels exactly where she is meant to be.
Clarifying her decision further, she added, “There will be no new content (natok/tvc/ott) from me going forward. There might still be some works that haven’t been released yet, but I won’t be connected with them anymore. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the love and support.”
Throughout her career, Nawba Tahiya worked in several popular television dramas, including “Chupi Chupi”, “Mitthe Kabber Ful”, and “Amar Thikana Tumi”, among others. She also earned appreciation for her performance in Mizanur Rahman Aryan’s “Punormilone”, which helped broaden her audience beyond television.
