The Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Shafiqul Alam has said that the swearing-in of the new government will take place very soon and will in no way occur after Monday or Tueasday.
He added that the authority responsible for administering the oath has not yet been decided, and this will be announced in due course.
He made these remarks during a briefing for journalists at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Saturday.
The press secretary said that all preparations for the swearing-in ceremony have already been completed, and the process of handing over responsibilities from the chief adviser and the cabinet is proceeding quickly.
Responding to reports that a constituency recorded 200% voter turnout, he described the claims as false journalism, explaining that it was primarily a typographical error.
He said the person who reported this did so without consulting the returning officer, and the error was subsequently corrected.
