The International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Sunday set April 19 for a charge-framing hearing in a crimes against humanity case against former lawmaker Shamim Osman and 11 others in connection with alleged atrocities in Narayanganj during the July mass uprising.
The two-member ICT-1 headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Mazumder passed the order in the morning.
Meanwhile, the prosecution on Sunday submitted formal charge in a case filed over the murder of six people, including Chhatra Dal leader Wasim, in Chattogram, accusing 22, including former foreign minister Hasan Mahmud.
The tribunal’s investigation agency on April 2 submitted its probe report in the case, bringing three charges against the accused. Of the 22 accused, four, including former lawmaker ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, are currently in jail.
