Bidya Sinha Mim’s new film “Jibon Opera”, directed by Alvi Ahmed, has completed shooting and dubbing and is now awaiting release. Although the release date has not been finalised, Mim hopes the film will reach audiences this year.
“I hope ‘Jibon Opera’ will be released this year. The director will finalise everything. All I can say is that it is going to be a good film and I believe audiences will enjoy it,” Mim told The Daily Star.

Mim, who entered showbiz after winning the Lux Channel i Superstar competition, made her acting debut in Humayun Ahmed’s “Amar Ache Jol”. Over a career spanning nearly 18 years, she went on to establish herself in television before focusing primarily on films, OTT projects and modelling. She has also received the National Film Award.
Speaking about “Jibon Opera”, Mim said, “I really enjoyed working on it. I had a great time during both the shooting and dubbing. I cannot reveal much at this stage, including details about my character.”

She believes the film will add value to her career. “It will be a special project that will hold a place in my career. Alvi Ahmed worked with great care and passion, and the entire team was well organised, a good team always makes a difference to the final work,” she said.
Mim is currently considering several new projects. “I have received a number of scripts, but haven't decided on anyone yet. I want to be part of films that audiences will remember for a long time, and I want my performances to stay with them,” she said.
On OTT, Mim highlighted “Lifeline”, her most recent project, as one of her favourites. “I received a lot of appreciation for the work. The story and character were strong, and it gave me the opportunity to perform.” she said.

Although Mim once appeared regularly in television dramas, she has been largely absent from the small screen in recent years. “There is no particular reason. I have never said I will never do television again, but I cannot say when I might return,” she said.
A keen traveller, Mim enjoys visiting destinations both at home and abroad. “I enjoy travelling. I am drawn to it, whether it is within the country or overseas,” she said.

Mim has also published several novels but has not written a story or novel for some time. She is currently writing down her personal thoughts. “I am writing small feelings, almost like a diary. I am not sure whether it can exactly be called a diary, but I am enjoying the process,” she said.
Looking ahead, Mim wants to take on more distinctive projects. “I have been fortunate to be part of good films throughout my career. I believe choosing meaningful work is my way of returning the love, blessings and appreciation audiences have given me.”
