Prime Minister Tarique Rahman drove his own vehicle from the Secretariat to the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka’s Agargaon on Wednesday evening to attend a programme organised by the Bangladesh Administrative Service Association.
His wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman, accompanied him.
The prime minister left the Secretariat around 7:30pm, according to officials from the press wing.
Members of the press wing confirmed that the PM personally drove the car and was received by organisers upon arrival at the venue.
