Bidya Sinha Mim and Sariful Razz have reportedly been signed on for the government-funded film “Jibon Opera”, which received a grant of Tk 7.5 million for the 2024–25 fiscal year. Previously, audiences had appreciated the on-screen chemistry of this pair in the films “Poran” and “Damal”. Recently, Mim posted a photo with an actor on her verified Facebook page. The actor’s face is not visible in the image; it shows the silhouette of a man standing with his back to the camera. In the caption, Mim wrote, “The next project is coming, guess who he is?” This single-line post sparked a flurry of discussion in the comments.  

Most fans have speculated that the person in the picture is Sariful Razz. It is worth noting that a novel titled “Jibon Opera”, written by director Alvi Ahmed, has already been published. The story centres on the protagonist Rafique’s travels between two lives and his relationship with his first love, Sharmin. In the novel, Rafique enters an alternate life in which Sharmin reappears as a significant figure in his life.

Blending reality with imagination, the story explores various facets of love and human choices. The government-funded film “Jibon Opera” is expected to target mainstream audiences. The filmmakers and production team hope to combine the grant with personal investment to develop the film into a fully-fledged commercial production.
