Bangladesh’s first package programme production house, Fagun Audio Vision, is once again marking Valentine’s Day with a special edition of its long-running magazine show “Panchphoron”.
For nearly two decades, the programme has been aired on special occasions throughout the year. This year’s Valentine’s special promises a fresh setting and diverse segments centred on the theme of love.
Unlike conventional magazine shows, “Panchphoron” does not feature a fixed presenter. Each episode unfolds in a dramatic format, with well-known personalities from different fields taking part in the presentation. This year is no exception.
The upcoming episode revolves around a married couple spending Valentine’s Day together at home, engaging in conversations about love and relationships. The storyline explores various moments from their day, interwoven with musical performances, dance segments, short dramas, and feature reports on different topics.
Popular actors Shajal Noor and Sarika Sabrin will portray the husband and wife in this year’s edition.
The programme features two original songs. One track, written by Kabir Bakul, has been performed by renowned singer Ankhi Alamgir, with composition and music arrangement by Shouquat Ali Emon. The second is a duet sung by Kamal and Tanjina Ruma, penned by Moniruzzaman Palash and composed and arranged by Naved Parvez.
In addition, the show will include a vibrant dance performance by local dancers from Barishal, set to a popular folk song. The choreography has been directed by Murad.
Among the special reports featured in the episode is a contemporary story on an innovative initiative by Kazi Mawlana Faruk Hossain, popularly known as “Ros Kaka,” from Baharampur village in Baghapara, Jashore. His efforts focus on preserving the tradition of date palm sap and introducing it to the younger generation.
The programme will also showcase an unusual segment on a fox living among people in a residential area — a rare sight, as foxes are typically nocturnal and inhabit forests or remote locations.
Several humorous and entertaining dramatic sketches centred on love will also be included, performed by the regular cast of “Panchphoron”.
The Valentine’s special episode will air on ATN Bangla on February 14 at 8:50 pm, sponsored by Keya Cosmetics Limited. Produced under the banner of Fagun Audio Vision, “Panchphoron” has been directed by acclaimed producer and presenter Hanif Sanket.
