Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami postponed its women’s rally at Suhrawardy Udyan for Saturday scheduled to be held protesting against attacks on their women activists during elections campaigns.

A Jamaat press release signed by central leader of the party Mujibul Alam said the further date of holding the rally would be announced later.

On Tuesday, Jamaat nayeb-e-amir Sayed Abdullah Muhammad Taher at a press conference announced holding the women rally at Suhawardy Udyan.

He alleged in the press conference that the women leaders and activists were facing obstacles in different parts of the country during election campaigns.
