The official teaser for the film Bonolota Express, directed by Tanim Noor, was released on social media at 8pm on Wednesday.

According to the film’s promotional team, the movie is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release in Bangladesh during Eid-ul-Fitr.

The 1 minute and 21 second teaser depicts a foggy December afternoon in 2007 at Kamalapur Railway Station and introduces the setting inside the Bonolota Express train.

The film draws inspiration from Humayun Ahmed’s novel Kichukkhon and presents a narrative built around a group of passengers traveling on the same train journey.

The story follows several characters whose lives intersect during the journey.

Among them are Dr Ashhab, who is traveling with his mentally ill mother; Chitra, portrayed as a traveler searching for new experiences; Rashid Uddin, described as an eccentric passenger; and Education Minister Abul Khayer Khan.

According to the film’s description, the journey brings together individuals from different backgrounds whose lives are affected by the events of the trip.

The film features an ensemble cast including Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Sariful Razz, Sabila Nur, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Zakia Bari Mamo, Intekhab Dinar, Shamol Mawla, Shamima Nazneen, Tridha Pal Maan, A K Azad Shetu, Sifat Rahman, Tamim Karim, Labonno Chowdhury, Sabrina Azad and Arefin Jilani, among others.

Bonolota Express is presented by UCB and produced by Buriganga Talkies in co-production with hoichoi studios, with support from DOPE.

According to the producers, the teaser is currently trending on hoichoi Bangladesh’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel.

The film’s original soundtrack and full trailer are expected to be released in stages ahead of its theatrical premiere.
