TIME magazine has released its annual TIME100 list of the world's most influential people, with the technology sector featuring prominently across multiple categories, led by figures central to the ongoing global race in artificial intelligence.

Dario Amodei, chief executive of Anthropic, and his sister Daniela Amodei, the company's president, appear on the list for their work developing the Claude AI assistant. Anthropic, valued at $380 billion, defines itself as an AI safety company, though it faces ongoing challenges including negotiations over limits on military use of its technology.

Google chief executive Sundar Pichai, appearing on the TIME100 for the third time, was described by the magazine as a leader who has brought artificial intelligence to more people than almost any other figure, overseeing the release of AI products including Gemini, NotebookLM, Google AI Studio, and Gemini CLI. His profile was written by Andrew Ng, founder of DeepLearning.AI and co-founder of Google Brain.

Neal Mohan, who became chief executive of YouTube in 2023, was recognised for transforming the platform into the largest video provider on televisions in the United States, combining technical credibility with strong advertiser and creator relationships.

The 2026 list also includes Gwynne Shotwell, Michael Dell and Susan Dell, MrBeast, TSMC's C.C. Wei, and Sarah Friar, among other technology and business figures.
