Shakib Khan has once again travelled to the United States, departing the country on Thursday night.
According to sources, one of the main highlights of his trip is the prospect of watching the 2026 FIFA World Cup final from the stands. If he is able to secure a ticket, the megastar plans to attend the tournament's showpiece event at MetLife Stadium.
Shakib's visits to the United States are not unusual. As a US permanent resident and Green Card holder, he is required to spend a certain amount of time in the country to comply with immigration regulations. Alongside fulfilling those residency requirements, this year's visit also presents an opportunity to witness one of football's biggest occasions in person.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, with the final scheduled to take place in July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The nearly 80,000-seat venue is also set to make history by staging the first-ever official half-time entertainment show at a FIFA World Cup final. The performance is expected to feature international music stars including Shakira, Madonna and South Korean pop group BTS.
It remains unclear whether Shakib has any other professional commitments during his stay in the United States. He has not officially announced any further plans or when he is expected to return to Bangladesh.
