Mostafa Kamal, a renowned sports organiser-cum-coach in volleyball, breathed his last on Sunday morning. He was 88.
He was suffering from multiple complications including kidney disease, dementia and had been admitted to the ICU for nearly two weeks.
Kamal left behind his wife, two daughters and many well-wishers to mourn his death.
The former player-turned-coach had once guided the national volleyball team and also served as the vice president of the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation. Kamal also often wrote articles on sports issues.
He will be laid to rest at the Rayerbazar Intellectuals’ Graveyard following his namaz-e-janaza at the Shantinagar Eastern Plus Mall's Mosque after Zuhr prayer today.
