Jubo Dal has issued a show-cause notice to Keramat Ali, a member of its Pabna district unit, on Wednesday, over allegations that he made “vile and hateful comments” on Facebook about the prime minister’s photographer Khaled Hossain Parag and his late father.

According to the notice, the organisation’s central executive committee learned that Keramat posted the remarks from his personal Facebook account. Screenshots of the posts have already gone viral on social media, it added.

The notice said such conduct by a person holding an important position in the district unit was regrettable and embarrassing for the organisation.

Keramat has been directed to appear before Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan on July 25 to provide his explanation.
