Azizul Hakim Tamim will once lead Bangladesh in their bid to retain the ACC Men's U-19 Asia Cup title, as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday announced a 15-member squad for the tournament, scheduled to be held in Dubai from December 12 to 21.
Zawad Abrar has been named vice-captain of the junior Tigers, who are aiming for a hattrick of titles after winning the last two editions of the competition -- both held in the UAE in 2023 and 2024. The team will fly to Dubai on December 10.
Bangladesh have been drawn in Group B alongside Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Nepal. The defending champions will open their campaign against Afghanistan on December 13 at the ICC Academy, followed by matches against Nepal on December 15 at the Sevens Stadium and Sri Lanka on December 17 at the ICC Academy.
Group A consists of India, Pakistan, hosts UAE and Malaysia.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals on December 19, with the final scheduled for December 21.
