Two more children died of measles-like symptoms across the country in 24 hours till 8:00am yesterday.

During this time, the total number of reported cases reached 1,377, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.

A total of 1,324 suspected measles cases were reported, bringing the total number of suspected cases recorded to 70,936 since March 15.

Until 8:00am yesterday, the total number of confirmed cases rose to 9,049, with 53 new cases.

Since March 15, a total of 56,886 patients with suspected measles have been admitted to hospitals, while 52,841 have recovered and been discharged.

The total number of deaths from confirmed measles remained 90, as no deaths were reported in the 24 hours.

Two deaths among suspected measles cases were reported, bringing the total number of deaths among suspected cases to 495.

So far, the highest number of suspected measles cases has been recorded in Dhaka division, where 33,470 people have been reported with suspected infection, with 6,306 confirmed cases.
