A Dhaka court today sent content creator RS Fahim Chowdhury to jail in a case filed over the killing of a person during the July Uprising.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam passed the order after police produced Fahim before the court and sought his confinement, a court staffer said.

Fahim was apprehended yesterday by a group of people near Dhaka’s Mirpur National Zoo and later handed over to police.

According to the case documents, Imran, 30, was shot in Shahjadpur on July 19, 2024. He later died at a hospital on the same day.

The case in this connection was filed with Gulshan Police Station on April 25, 2025.
