The metro rail services in Dhaka will remain closed on Eid day, according to an office order of the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited that operates the metro rail services.
During the Eid holidays, trains will run with at least 12 to a maximum of 15 minutes of headway.
Bangladesh is scheduled to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha, one of the biggest religious festivals of Muslims, on May 28.
The seven-day public holiday for Eid will begin on May 25.
The DMTCL office order, issued on Thursday, also reads that during the Eid holidays, the number of trips will be approximately 140, and 7-set trains will run.
However, it continued, the number of trips may be increased or decreased according to passenger pressure.
