A total of 312 educational institutions recorded a zero pass rate in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations, more than double the 134 institutions that had no successful candidate last year.

At the other end, 669 institutions achieved a 100 percent pass rate this year, down from 984 in 2025.

The SSC and equivalent examination results were announced today, with the overall pass rate standing at 62.25 percent. A total of 11,38,877 of the 18,29,485 examinees passed, while 1,16,676 students secured GPA-5.

The results were inaugurated by Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon at 10:15am at the Education Ministry at the Secretariat.

Under the nine general education boards, 57 institutions recorded a zero pass rate this year, compared with 48 last year. Under the Madrasa Education Board, the number rose sharply to 226 from 86, while 29 institutions under the Technical Education Board recorded a zero pass rate this year. No institution under the board had recorded a zero pass rate last year.

Overall, the number of zero pass institutions increased by 178 from last year, while the number of institutions with a 100 percent pass rate fell by 315.
