US President Donald Trump today told Fox News that a deal with Iran will be signed “today” in Pakistan, adding to information he gave in an earlier interview with the New York Post in which he said Vance and the US delegation were on their way to Islamabad for the talks.

According to Al Jazeera, Trump said he was willing to meet Iran’s leaders face to face if there is a breakthrough in talks.

Iranian news agencies are reporting a phone call between Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar.

This comes amid uncertainty over a new round of talks between Iran and the US to be held in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei said earlier today that Iran has no plans to take part in the talks for now, accusing the US of violating the ceasefire since it began.
