An emergency press conference has been convened at the parliament around 5:00pm amid ongoing discussions over the possible resignation of President Mohammed Shahabuddin.

Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad or his representative is expected to address the press conference, which will be held in the oath-taking room, multiple reliable sources at the Parliament Secretariat have confirmed.

The Parliament Secretariat, however, has not made any official statement regarding the press conference.
