Suno, the generative AI-based music platform, has announced Spark, a new incubator programme that the company says will provide independent artists with grants, marketing support, and mentorship.

Selected artists will receive project funding and an additional marketing budget, while retaining full creative control and commercial rights over their work, according to an official blog post by Suno. The selected artists will also be invited to collaborate with established artists at writing camps, and will have the opportunity to give feedback on new features Suno is developing, says the company.

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old, work as a singer, songwriter, or producer releasing music under their own name, and be unsigned and independent. Suno said the programme was shaped by conversations with musicians, songwriters, and producers through artist partnerships, feedback sessions, community programmes, and writing camps.

According to a report by The Verge on the matter, the Suno Spark program agreement also includes a non-disparagement clause, referred to in the agreement as a "Good Vibes Only" provision, which requires participants not to make negative statements about Suno, its personnel, or its products. Suno may also request edits or removal of content, and breaching the clause can result in removal from the programme, states the report.

Suno, a generative artificial intelligence music platform based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was founded in 2021 by a team of machine learning specialists. Earlier this month, the company secured a $400 million Series D funding round led by Bond Capital, which valued the business at $5.4 billion and more than doubled its previous valuation from late 2025.
