Departing from conventional romantic tropes, the Bengali short film "Mystery In Bloom" is scheduled to premiere tomorrow, February 17, on the digital platform Bongo and its official YouTube channel. Directed by emerging filmmaker Shawana, the project promises a reflective, emotionally intimate narrative tailored for the Valentine’s season.

Unlike traditional love stories, "Mystery In Bloom" focuses on presence and emotional resonance. The director, whose previous work, “The Road to My Father,” earned selections at 10 international film festivals, brings a blend of Swedish and Bangladeshi cultural sensibilities to this production.
"I wanted to tell this story differently," Shawana shared. "It is crafted specifically for the Bangladeshi audience to evoke a deep sense of connection and nostalgia."
The film features Prantar Dastider and Shawana in lead roles. Produced by Rasel Mahmud, the technical team includes cinematographer Mohibullah Shanto, editor Sourav Howlader, and award-winning sound designer Ripon Nath. The musical score is composed by Jahid Nirob, with color grading by Chinnmoy Roy.
