Newly appointed Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Secretary Md Saidur Rahman Khan today expressed hope that the commission would be constituted within this month.
He was speaking at a press briefing after assuming office at the ACC headquarters in Dhaka's Segunbagicha.
Saidur Rahman said he would work to make the ACC more dynamic, adding that the constitutional body would carry out its responsibilities independently in accordance with its mandate.
He also said efforts would be made to make the ACC more people-friendly and address any image crisis facing the institution.
Ministry of Public Administration appointed Saidur Rahman as ACC secretary through a notification issued on July 30.
Before joining the ACC, he served as secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
