The Election Commission (EC) has published the final list of candidates contesting the 13th National Parliamentary Election, scheduled for February 12.  

According to EC data, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is fielding the highest number of candidates, with 288 nominees.

Islami Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) follows with 253 candidates, while 249 independents are also in the race.  

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has nominated 224 contenders, and the Jatiya Party is fielding 192 candidates.

Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) has fielded 90 candidates, the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) has fielded 65 candidates, and Insaniyat Biplab Bangladesh entered 42 candidates in the race.

Parties, including Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) with 39 candidates, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis with 34 candidates, and National Citizen Party (NCP) with 32 candidates will participate in the race as well.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) has nominated 26 candidates, while Gono Forum is contesting with 19 candidates.  

Bangladesh currently has 12.76 crore registered voters, while 15,33,683 have registered through the Postal Vote BD App. Ahead of the national election and referendum, the EC has sent 7,28,023 postal ballots to Bangladeshi expatriates in 122 countries.
