Enrolling in any educational programme that leads to a degree or provides institutional credit while staying in the United States on a visitor visa is strictly prohibited.

The US Embassy in Dhaka has issued a warning in this regard.

On Sunday, the US Embassy in Dhaka released a statement conveying this information.

The statement said: “While staying in the United States on a B1/B2 visitor visa, enrolling in any educational programme that leads to a degree or provides institutional credit is strictly prohibited. Even for a short period, unauthorized use of a US visa may result in a permanent ban on future entry to the United States.”
