A total of 1,981 candidates are contesting the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election across 298 constituencies, according to official figures released by the Election Commission.
Of the total candidates, 1,732 are nominated by 51 registered political parties, while 249 are contesting the polls as independent candidates.
Tuesday marked the final day for the withdrawal of candidacies.
On Wednesday night, the EC published party-wise statistics of candidates contesting in 298 seats.
Voting for the 300-member parliament is scheduled to take place on February 12.
However, in Pabna-1 and Pabna-2 constituencies, candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations until 24 January.
According to the EC data, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party has fielded the highest number of candidates, contesting in 288 constituencies.
Jamaat-e-Islami is contesting 224 seats, while Islami Andolan Bangladesh has candidates in 253 constituencies.
Jatiya Party is contesting in 192 seats, and the National Citizen Party has put forward candidates in 32 constituencies.
Among other political parties, the Communist Party of Bangladesh has 65 candidates, the Bangladesh Socialist Party (Basad) 39, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis 34, Khelafat Majlis 21, Gono Odhikar Parishad 90, Amar Bangladesh Party 30, Gonoforum 19, Gonosamhati Andolan 17, and Nagorik Oikya has 11 candidates.
