Rajshahi Stars sealed the Women’s Football League 2025–26 title with a commanding 3–0 victory over Bangladesh Army SC in their final fixture at the capital's Bir Shrestha Shaheed Sepahi Mustafa Kamal Stadium on Friday.

It marked a dream debut campaign for the star-studded Rajshahi Stars, who wrapped up the season with a flawless record. The champions won all 10 of their matches, scoring an astonishing 90 goals without conceding a single one.

After a goalless first half, Alpi Akter — fresh from her standout performance in the SAFF U-19 Championship where she finished as the top scorer and player of the tournament — broke the deadlock two minutes after the restart.

National team forward Shaheda Akter Ripa doubled the lead in the 58th minute before star winger Ritu Porna Chakma put the result beyond doubt with a late strike in the 86th minute.

Ritu Porna was named player of the match and credited the team’s clear ambition for their historic success.
“Since the first match, our target was to win the league. Finally, we fulfilled it,” she said after the game.

Bangladesh Army SC and Farashganj SC finished next behind the champions on 24 points each — six adrift of Rajshahi Stars. While Army have completed their fixtures, Farashganj still have one match in hand.

A total of 11 teams took part in this season’s Women’s Football League.
