Three passengers of an auto-rickshaw were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision with a bus in Cumilla this evening.

The accident happened in the Ratanpur area along the Cumilla-Noakhali highway, Officer-in-Charge Osman Gani of Laksam Highway Crossing Police Station confirmed.

Police said the collision happened when the auto-rickshaw drove on the wrong side of the road and crashed into a Shah Ali Super Paribahan bus.

All six victims were passengers of the auto-rickshaw.

OC Osman said highway police are working to identify the victims and provide further details.
