A man and his infant child were killed in a road accident in Alalpur area on Mymensingh-Phulpur road of Mymensing Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

The victims are Md Jahangir Alam, 31, resident of Haluaghat area of the upazila, and his two-and-half-year-old son Ruhan.

Kotwali Model Police Station sub-inspector Farid, quoting witnesses, said that the accident took place as a pick-up and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided in Alalpur area at about 9:00am on Saturday, leaving the two dead on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies and the process of filing a case in the regard was underway, the SI said.
