At many voting centres across Dhaka, polling agents from only two or three parties were found on Thursday during the 13th national election, held simultaneously with a nationwide referendum.

Polling agents from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Jamaat-e-Islami alliances were seen at polling centres in the Jigatola, Mohakhali, Hatirpool, Dhamondi, Jigatola, Moghbazar, Eskaton, Rajarbagh, Bashabo, Banashree, Badda, Gulshan and Banani areas.


At Jigatola Staff Quarters community centre, polling agents from BNP, Jamaat and Islami Andalan Bangladesh were present at 8:00am.

At Queen’s School and College at Jigatola, polling agents from BNP and Jamaat were present till 8:30am.

At T&T Adarsha Girls High School in Mohakhali, till 10:50am, polling agents from BNP and Jamaat were present. 

At the Siddreswari area at Siddeswari Boys Higher Secondary School, the same situation was seen.
