Smoke and sparks rise after a fire broke out on the third floor of a three-storey residential building in Old Dhaka’s Chawk Bazar area yesterday. It took more than an hour for seven units from Lalbagh, with support from Palashi, Hazaribagh and Siddiq Bazar fire stations, to douse the blaze. The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
