Google announced on March 26 that it is expanding its Search Live feature to users worldwide, making the tool available in all languages and regions where its AI-powered search mode is supported.
The rollout extends access to more than 200 countries and territories, allowing users to interact with search through real-time conversations using voice and camera inputs.
According to Google, the feature is powered by a new audio and voice model, Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, which enables more natural and intuitive interactions. The model is designed to operate across multiple languages, allowing users to speak with the system in their preferred language.
Search Live is integrated into the Google app on both Android and iOS devices. Users can activate the feature by tapping the Live icon located beneath the search bar, allowing them to ask questions aloud and receive spoken responses.
The system also integrates visual capabilities, enabling users to activate their device’s camera to provide context for queries about objects or tasks in their surroundings. For example, users can point their camera at a physical object and receive guidance or suggestions based on what the system detects.
The feature can also be accessed through Google Lens, where users can initiate a live, conversational interaction while viewing real-world scenes through their device.
