Bangladesh Nationalist Party chair Tarique Rahman is set to attend six election rallies in four districts today, beginning in Chattogram, as part of the party campaign for the February 12 Jatiya Sangsad elections.

The BNP announced the itinerary on Saturday during a press briefing at its central election office at Gulshan in Dhaka,

Speaking on behalf of the party, Tarique’s political adviser and election committee spokesperson Mahdi Amin outlined the chair’s programme for the day.

Tarique Rahman arrived in Chattogram on Saturday evening via a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.

He would start his Sunday schedule at 9:30am with a Youth Policy Talk at a local hotel, engaging with around 300 university students.

The session would cover BNP policies on education, employment, agriculture, and women’s empowerment.

His first election rally of the day is set for 11:30am at the Polo Ground in Chattogram city.

In the afternoon, he will travel to Feni, where he is scheduled to address a public rally at the Feni Pilot School playground.

The journey would continue through Comilla, with three separate rallies lined up at Choudhgram High School, Swagazi Digbazi, and the central Eidgah in Daudkandi upazila.

Tarique would conclude the day with an election rally at Balur Math at Kanchpur, Narayanganj, before returning to his residence at Gulshan, Dhaka.

Earlier this week, Tarique formally launched his election campaign in Sylhet on Thursday, delivering addresses at seven consecutive rallies in a single day.

He arrived in Sylhet on Wednesday night and paid respects at the shrines of Shahjalal and Shah Paran at Dargah Gate and Khadim areas, respectively.

He also offered prayers at the grave of MAG Osmani, the commander-in-chief of Bangladesh forces during the 1971 War of Independence, in the divisional city.
