Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended Eid greetings to Muslims at home and abroad.

In a message posted on his Facebook page last night, he said Eid-ul-Azha has once again arrived at the doorstep of the Muslim world, reminding all of the highest spirit of sacrifice, the noble guidance of taqwa, and the unique message of self-purification.

“On this auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, I extend Eid Mubarak to the people of the country as well as to all Muslims around the world. I convey my greetings to people across the globe. May this Eid-ul-Azha be illuminated by the glory of sacrifice. May Allah accept our Qurbani and worship. May our lives be filled with peace and prosperity through His infinite mercy and blessings,” he said.

The prime minister said, “On Eid-ul-Azha, I pray to Allah to accept our sacrifices. May He grant peace, security and stability to our motherland, the entire Muslim world and all humanity.

“At the same time, I also pray to Allah for peace, harmony and security across the world.”
